What is DomoAI?

DomoAI

DomoAI is a browser-based AI creation platform that turns text, photos, and existing footage into video. It started life as a Discord bot known mostly for anime restyling, and the 2026 version is a much broader web app: image to video, text to video, frames to video, video to video, character animation, talking avatars, text to speech, AI image generation and editing, plus image and video upscaling.

The pitch is consolidation. Instead of paying for one tool that animates photos, another that restyles clips, a third for voiceover, and a fourth for upscaling, you run the whole chain inside one workspace and pay for it with a single credit balance. Generate a still with GPT Image 2, animate it with Seedance, add a voice track, then push the result to 4K without exporting anything in between.

DomoAI also doesn't sell you a single house model. It aggregates. Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, MiniMax H3, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro sit inside the same interface, alongside DomoAI's own V2.4 Advanced and V2.4 Faster video models and its V1 through V6 restyle presets.

Who it's actually for: social creators pushing short-form video, anime and character artists, small marketing teams making product clips without a shoot, and educators or storytellers animating still images. It's less suited to anyone who needs long-form narrative video, since almost everything on the platform tops out between 30 and 60 seconds per generation.

Key Features of DomoAI
Image to Video
Image to Video DomoAI

Upload a still, describe the motion, and DomoAI animates it using V2.4 Advanced (higher consistency) or V2.4 Faster (quicker iteration). Durations are 5 or 10 seconds, with 10 seconds available in Fast Mode only. There are 10+ motion templates for zoom-ins, waves and character actions.

Artistic images work best at 5 seconds without a custom prompt; narrative shots benefit from a descriptive prompt at 10 seconds. Group photos with more than two subjects tend to produce warped limbs. Cost is roughly 5 credits per clip, the cheapest video output on the platform.

Text to Video

Same two model tiers, same 5 and 10 second durations, with aspect ratios for 1:1, 16:9 and 9:16 covering Reels, Shorts and YouTube. Seedance 2.0 delivers cinematic clips with generated audio and multi-shot flow on every paid plan.

Seedance 2.5 Omni Reference builds 30-second videos from up to 30 reference images, 10 video clips and 10 audio files for character and scene consistency. MiniMax H3 adds 4 to 15 second outputs at up to 2K. An AI Optimize button rewrites thin prompts into detailed ones with camera direction and lighting. Cost is roughly 15 credits per generation.

Frames to Video
Frames to Video DomoAI

Supply 2 to 8 keyframes and DomoAI generates the motion between them. Duration range is 1 to 56 seconds, the widest on the platform. Multi-frame mode is Fast Mode only. The recommended workflow is to build a multi-angle character grid using Nano Banana Pro, then feed those frames in for a consistent multi-angle sequence. Cost is roughly 4 credits per generation, the best value output available.

Video to Video restyling
Video to Video restyling DomoAI

Upload MP4, MOV or AVI footage and DomoAI repaints it in a different style while keeping the original motion. There are 40+ presets including 20+ anime styles, plus watercolour, oil painting and pencil sketch.

Model versions run V1.0 through V6.0, and the Fusion model accepts a text prompt or reference image for custom looks. Durations are 3, 5 and 10 seconds in both Fast and Relax Mode, with 20 and 30 seconds in Fast Mode only. V6 is tuned for half-body and close-up portraits and isn't recommended for full-body shots.

Character to Video
Character to Video DomoAI

Upload a motion reference video and a character image, and DomoAI maps your character onto that movement with original audio preserved. Matching framing is critical — half-body to half-body, full-body to full-body. Durations of 5 and 10 seconds work in both modes; 20 and 30 seconds are Fast Mode only and gated to Pro and Team. Cost is around 15 credits per generation.

Talking Avatar and lip sync

Feed in a portrait and script to produce a talking video with synchronised mouth movement, facial expression and gesture. Audio sources include built-in text to speech, uploaded files (MP3, WAV, M4A up to 80MB), direct recording, or voice cloning, with 6 voice variations and 6 emotional tones.

Durations of 5, 10 and 20 seconds are available on all paid plans; 30 and 60 seconds are Pro and Team only. The entire feature is Fast Mode only. The lip sync engine also works independently on existing footage, including anime and CGI characters, for dubbing and localisation, with accuracy above 90% for clear source video.

AI image generation and editing
AI Image Generation & Editing DomoAI

Text to Image runs at roughly 1 credit per image. Image Editing, powered by Nano Banana Pro (built on Google's Gemini 3 Pro), accepts up to 9 images at once for background swaps, outfit changes and scene rebuilds at up to 4K. Editing costs around 10 credits per image. Both tools run in Relax Mode on Standard and above. GPT Image 2 is also available and is the better pick for images that need readable text like posters or thumbnail headlines.

Image and video upscaling

Upscale V2 handles 4K video and 6K images. Both are Fast Mode only. Image upscaling costs about 2 credits, video upscaling about 10. Video upscale durations of 20, 30 and 60 seconds are restricted to Pro and Team. Best used at the end of a workflow — generate at standard resolution, pick the best take, then upscale only that one.

Fast Mode vs Relax Mode explained

This is the single most important thing to understand about DomoAI, and it's the difference between a plan feeling generous and feeling tight.

Fast Mode gives you priority processing on dedicated capacity, and it deducts credits from your balance for every generation.

Relax Mode runs your job on idle capacity when it's free. It takes longer, sometimes considerably longer at peak times, but it doesn't consume credits at all. On Standard, Pro and Team, Relax Mode generations are unlimited.

That last sentence is the whole value proposition of the Standard plan. Basic does not include Relax Mode. On Basic, 500 credits a month is genuinely all you get.

Relax Mode isn't available everywhere, though, and the gaps are specific:

ToolRelax Mode
Image to Video (Advanced 5s, Faster)Yes
Image to Video (Advanced 10s)No
Text to Video (Advanced 5s, Faster)Yes
Text to Video (Advanced 10s)No
Frames to Video (1s to 56s, multi-frame)No
Character to Video (5s, 10s)Yes
Character to Video (20s, 30s)No
Video to Video (3s, 5s, 10s)Yes
Video to Video (20s, 30s)No
Talking Avatar (all durations)No
Text to SpeechNo
Text to ImageYes
Image EditingYes
Image UpscalerNo
Video UpscalerNo

The pattern is easy to read once you see it. Short-form generation and image work can run free in Relax Mode. Anything long, anything voice-related, and anything in the finishing pipeline costs credits every time.

On Standard, Pro and Team, Relax Mode also covers GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro, which is unusual. Most platforms reserve their newest image models for paid-per-generation tiers.

Fast lanes matter too. Basic and Standard run 3 parallel Fast Mode generations; Pro and Team run 6. If your process is to fire off four variations of the same prompt and pick the best one, Pro halves your waiting.

How DomoAI credits actually work

DomoAI runs two separate kinds of credit, and confusing them is an expensive mistake.

Subscription credits arrive with your plan every month and reset on your renewal date. They don't roll over. A 500-credit Basic plan resets to 500 at renewal whether you used 12 credits or 500. Unused credits are gone.

Paid credits, bought as optional top-ups, never expire. They sit in your account until you spend them. But you need an active subscription to buy them, and they're only drawn down after your subscription credits are exhausted. That ordering is in your favour: your expiring credits get used first.

Here's what a credit actually buys, based on DomoAI's own per-plan output figures:

OutputApproximate credit cost
Text to Image1 credit per image
Text to Speech1 credit per clip
Image Upscaler2 credits per image
Frames to Video4 credits per video
Image to Video5 credits per video
Image Editing10 credits per image
Video Upscaler10 credits per video
Text to Video15 credits per video
Video to Video15 credits per video
Character to Video15 credits per video
Talking Avatar15 credits per video

Applied to the plans, 500 credits on Basic is about 100 image-to-video clips, or roughly 33 talking avatars, or 500 images. Pro's 4,000 credits stretch to about 800 image-to-video clips, 266 text-to-video generations, or 400 upscaled videos.

Read those numbers next to the Relax Mode table and the real shape of the pricing appears. On Standard and above, the tools you'd use most often for volume work run free in Relax Mode, so 1,500 credits go entirely toward the things that must be fast: avatars, upscales, long durations, frames-to-video sequences. On Basic, every single generation is metered.

DomoAI pricing plans

DomoAI has no permanent free plan. New accounts get a free trial worth 15 credits, and free output carries a watermark. Every paid plan removes it.

Annual billing takes 30% off across the board and is billed as a single upfront payment.

Annual pricing (billed yearly)

Monthly pricing

Standard$27.99/month1,500$0.019Unlimited3
Pro$69.99/month4,000$0.017Unlimited6
Team$142/seat/month24,000$0.018Unlimited6

Annual Basic comes to roughly $84 for the year, Standard around $235, and Pro about $588 per seat. Team at $99 a seat is a 30% cut from the $142 monthly rate and adds a shared workspace with a pooled credit balance across everyone on the account.

Every paid plan, Basic included, gets Seedance 2.0 with audio, watermark-free output, access to all styles with ongoing updates, and the option to buy top-up credits.

The features actually reserved for Pro and Team are narrow but specific:

Character to Video at 20 and 30 seconds (Fast Mode only)
Talking Avatar at 30 and 60 seconds
Video upscaling at 20, 30 and 60 seconds
6 parallel Fast Mode lanes instead of 3

Students and educators can get 10% off through DomoAI's verification programme. There's also an API with separate pricing at docs.domoai.app for anyone wanting to build generation into their own product.

Which plan makes sense

Basic at $6.99 works if you produce occasionally and want watermark-free short clips. About 100 animated photos a month. No Relax Mode means no safety net once the credits run out, so it's the plan most likely to leave you frustrated mid-month.

Standard at $19.59 is the plan most people should buy. The jump from Basic isn't really the extra 1,000 credits, it's unlimited Relax Mode. Short-form video, image generation and image editing all become effectively uncapped, and your 1,500 credits get reserved for work that has to be fast.

Pro at $48.99 is worth it only if you specifically need the longer durations. If your output is 5 and 10 second clips, you're paying two and a half times Standard's price for credits you may not spend. If you're producing 60-second talking avatars or 30-second character animations regularly, it's the only plan that does the job.

Team at $99 a seat makes sense at three or more people, mostly for the shared credit pool. One person having a heavy week doesn't strand everyone else.

Where DomoAI works well

Short-form social video is the obvious fit. The whole platform is built around 5 to 30 second outputs at 9:16, which is exactly what Reels, Shorts and TikTok want, and the templates cover the motions that perform there.

Anime and character work is where it's genuinely differentiated. The 40+ restyle presets, 20+ of them anime, plus Character to Video and the Frames to Video multi-angle trick, add up to a workflow for consistent character animation that most general-purpose video generators can't match.

Product marketing without a shoot is the third. Animate a product photo, restyle it, add a voiceover, upscale it. That's a usable ad from a single JPEG for well under 40 credits, and you never leave the tab. Most competitors make you export to a separate upscaler.

Limitations worth knowing before you pay

Duration ceilings are low. Nothing on the platform produces long-form video. Seedance 2.5 Omni Reference reaches 30 seconds, Talking Avatar reaches 60, Frames to Video reaches 56. Everything else caps at 30. If you need a three-minute video, you're stitching clips in an editor.

Basic without Relax Mode is thin. 500 credits sounds fine until you realise a single 15-credit generation for text-to-video means 33 attempts, and AI video rarely works first try.

Subscription credits expire monthly. No rollover. A quiet month is money spent on nothing.

Relax Mode has real gaps. Talking Avatar, text to speech, both upscalers, frames to video and every duration above 10 seconds are Fast Mode only. The “unlimited” in the marketing applies to a specific slice of the platform.

Pros and cons

Pros
  • Unlimited Relax Mode on Standard, Pro and Team removes credit anxiety for short-form video and all image work.
  • Relax Mode includes GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro, which are usually metered elsewhere.
  • Nine distinct workflows in one subscription, from frames-to-video through to 6K image upscaling.
  • 40+ restyle presets with 20+ anime styles, plus a Fusion model for custom looks from a reference image.
  • Watermark-free output on every paid plan including the $6.99 Basic tier.
  • Frames to Video accepts up to 8 keyframes across 1 to 56 seconds, the widest duration range on the platform.
  • Talking Avatar handles TTS, uploaded audio and voice cloning with 6 voices and 6 emotional tones.
  • Paid top-up credits never expire and are only spent after monthly credits.
  • Team plan pools credits across seats instead of splitting them per person.
Cons
  • Basic has no Relax Mode, making 500 credits a hard monthly ceiling.
  • Subscription credits reset every month with no rollover.
  • Longest single output is 60 seconds, and only for Talking Avatar on Pro.
  • 10-second Advanced durations are Fast Mode only, so the better model always costs credits.

Who should use DomoAI?

Buy it if you make short-form video at volume and value having the whole chain in one place. Anime creators, character animators, social media managers running multiple accounts, and small ecommerce teams turning product photos into ads will get the most out of it. The Standard plan in particular is priced well against what unlimited Relax Mode actually delivers.

Educators and storytellers animating archival photos fit too, and the 10% student and educator discount helps. Skip it if you need video longer than about 30 seconds without stitching, if you need frame-accurate editing and timeline control, or if you want a single best-in-class model rather than a menu of them. Filmmakers working on narrative sequences will hit the duration ceiling on day one. Anyone who only needs still images will find dedicated image tools cheaper.

If you generate rarely, the monthly plan at $9.99 with no refund once you've spent a credit is a worse deal than it looks. Try the 15-credit free trial first and see whether the output quality suits your style before committing to a year.
