The gateway runs as a systemd service with full user authorisation controls including DM pairing codes, per platform allowlists, and rate limited security.

Hermes Agent supports local execution, Docker containers, SSH remote servers, Modal, Daytona, Singularity, and Vercel Sandbox. Serverless options like Daytona and Modal let your agent hibernate when idle and wake on demand, costing nearly nothing between sessions.
